Eva Licht, trained screenprinter and graphic designer, studied fine art in Bremen, played guitar in a No-Wave band and designed dozens of album covers (for Max Goldt amongst others). In 2000, she began her portrait series entitled ‘Künstlerin malt Künstler’ (Artist Portraits Artists). Meanwhile, she also enjoys portraying normal folk in acrylics or oils on canvas. The backgrounds are sometimes designed with goldleaf, which adds an iconic luxury to each piece.
