The artist Anna von Bassen, born in Schweinfurt and raised in Würzburg, studied at the Hochschule der Künste (UdK) in Berlin, worked in film, taught in Berlin and worked as set and costume designer for various theatres. In 1997, Anna von Bassen received a scholarship as an artist-in-residence at the Künstlerhaus Hooksiel. She lives and works in Berlin as an artist, lecturer and curator. Anna von Bassen is a member of the board of directors of the Verein Berliner Künstler (Berlin Artists’ Association).
